The Porsche Driving Experience / How It Began

Third in the Travel Series on our visit to Sardinia and Corsica

It started with an invitation from friends in Australia. They were excited to learn that after a dozen trips the with the Porsche Driving Experience team, a trip had been developed starting in Sardinia with travel by ferry to Corsica, and then, back to Sardinia.

Our friends were anxious to lock in a group of 10 couples, each driving Porsche 911s during an eight-day trip on roads that were rarely straight and speeds that were never slow!

The answer to the invitation was a fast YES!

While a few months passed, we were more and more excited as the details developed. The full itinerary speaks for itself (CLICK HERE) and describes a carefully curated tour the likes of which we had never seen.

First stop, an arrival in Olbia airport on Sardinia with lodging at Petra Segreta Resort and Spa. We liked it from the start.

We had a first look at the Porsche fleet being readied for us. And, we met our guides and support team from the Porsche Driving Experience along with the new and old friends with whom we would spend the next week and a half.

Fine cars, wonderful people, beautiful lodging….a perfect start! And, an early start with our briefing by the Porsche team guiding our adventure followed by an introduction to the initial Porsche assigned to us.
