Facing down the White House

The past week has seen disruption started by a White House that wanted to up the number of immigrants being arrested. The demand to “arrest more” sent ICE to Los Angeles and then protests broke out with the President claiming he is working to save Los Angeles, once again creating his own idea of reality and settling in.

This is all hard to watch, but it’s what Al From and I spoke with Dave Wheelan at the Spy about this morning. And, it is worth noting that California Governor Newsom is standing fast against the White House and may helping himself politically in the process.
